The world will not end this Thursday.

Fragments of 73P will not impact the Earth on Thursday. We are passing through the comets tail at the moment, but there is not enough material in it to give us a decent meteor shower (the Tau Herculids are the shower associated with 73P). I've written about this before here and here, and the Bad Astronomer has a few words to say as well.
